#Entrepreneurship : A road more travelled

Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business, typically a start-up company offering an innovative product, process or service. In today`s world it has become the "cool facto" of the generation Y & Z in the country, what instigates this more is the "celebrities" status one acquires after being successful like Sharma`s, Bansal`s, Bahl`s and many more.Young generation in the country leaving no stone unturned to be there own bosses , 9-5 is not there cup of tea any more, I guess they want to drink champagne now and too taste it sooner, like 21-year old Ritesh Aggarwal- CEO and Founder of OYO rooms, who actually started his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 17. Yet another example would be the band of 12 young students from IIT, Mumbai who founded Housing.com.I have heard many a times people saying I have the idea dude, but no money ... and my answer remains the constant "No money O honey, still nothing to worry" ,with the age of investors r...

Gesture of kindness

Last Sunday , late evening I went to Gurdwara with some of my friends. Since I have never been into a Gurdwara so my excitement level increased manyfold. When we entered the Gurdwara it was fully filled with lots of people,we submitted our shoes and left for the inner area for bowing ourself in front of the almighty and after praying we went to the " langar"(where food is served) area which was even more crowded.    After the " langar" we decided to leave for our respective homes. At the shoe collecting area I didn't know how my wallet got out of my pocket but the destiny wanted something else, a sweet little girl called me and said “bhaiya aap ka saman reh gya"  (Big Brother, your belonging has fallen). When I saw my wallet in her hand I was numb at that movement..and asked myself " how can this happen??" I took my wallet from the girl said her a Thank you and we all moved on, but then girl again called me and asked if I can give her 1...

As there is a logjam created by congress in the parliament and news around the loss of the taxpayer money because of the ruckus,Union Minister Mahesh Sharma might have thought to make the government's image clean and stated in varanasi about that there is a suggestion for applying 'no work, no pay' policy on MPs like it is being done with regard to bureaucrats, triggering a debate after which he went into a denial mode. "Government would not mind discussion on 'no work no pay' issue. But as of now there is no such matter before the government," Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told reporters Parliament has not been functioning properly ever since the Monsoon session began on July 21 as the opposition parties have been pressing for resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in connection with Lalit Modi controversy and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over Vyapam Scam,respe...

Dowry ! will you explain me ?".unquote.Another gentlemen sitting with us explains him that Dowry is an Indian tradition in which groom asks for cash or in-kind to marry the girl . Japanese guy" ooh !! that's very greedy of men in India " I intervened in between and said " no, its an old tradition, nowadays in urban class it has been abolished and it's illegal in India now but yes the situation is grim in rural parts of India" [just tried not to portray poor image of our country] I deep down inside knew that yes ! The situation throughout the country is poor in the context of Dowry. As women and child development ministers has recently said in Lok sabha that nearly 25,000 Dowry deaths reported in last 3 year and maximum of them occurred in...
